Cloister designed for beer brewing Monks. The triangular shape emphasis the trinity – a common theme throughout the Christian Religion. Multiple practices are use to utilize the land – wind, earth, light, and water all contribute to the self sustaining community. The complex is located almost entirely level below the surface of the earth with only the chapel, bell/ventilation tower, and guard tower exposed, therefore reducing the visual impact of the complex, while emphasizing the necessary spaces.
