NYU _ LIVE-work Infrastructure Incubator

developed for Self

Designed for the National Concrete Masonry Association Competition, this in-fill project creates a LIVE-work laboratory to study all types of infrastructure including transportation, energy, water, environmental protection, and telecommunications. The infrastructure of the building has been exposed internally in order to provide access to the researchers. Additionally, scaffolding – the infrastructure – used to create the masonry walls, has been left assembled and creates spaces in which the researches live and work.
